Appraisal or motivation or retention as i call it. This is a season for lots of movement, in and out in the various industries. The biggest Challenge for the companies out there is to retain there man power. But every body is finding it hard to do the same. I am also keenly waiting for the same in my organisation. Already a group of 7 trainees joined with me . We are 4 now. One out of us also has been called back and is been retained on the condition that he will b shifted from S& M to R&D . And as per the promise he has been. But Why this is happening What i feel there can be two things which can either led to the kind of attrition
Either the person is not paid at par with the industry
or He is not enjoying what profile he has been put and Wishes to work what ever he enjoys. Almost all the fellows who left fall under the same. But what is really amazing is the fact that youth is turning towards its inner sense. They are not able to work for a longer time in the ambience which they are not Enjoying. Some how they will keep trying to find what they enjoy the most. My story is not so different after working in rural marketing for some 8 months , i have been shifted to the corporate HO of my organization, its been 5 months i have been handling the portfolio doing various number of things meant for a manager to handle. I did well.But the bottom line is i amKind of feeling bored of this stuff . The way things are turning around is not what i expect to happen them as i came to Corporate world. Its a different ball game, and ya i am planning to quit , not because i am not able to handle the pressure or pay is less. Its simply because i am not njoying this time table schedule. I want to work some thing which is a bit on other side and has some thing which can add value to me as a human being. I am looking for the opportunities around the globe for the same . Its been a tough world when it comes to quitting as no body expects you to leave a well paid job which has more than infinite options to rise. But ya the intution is that this is the time to leave and move on..prob it will take me another couple of months to figure out what i can do and then i will start moving…
Its very tough to figure out what you want, and also to convince that this will be ultimate thing for you.Knowing the fact that things can turn worse if you are not able to meet up you expectations, that is why I call it a bold step when it comes to quitting and landing up in the JUNGLE with no body around. But some how one has to listen the Omens….and
